1) Health Privacy Impact Analysis

The nations that lead the way with electronic health are all evolving stringent legislation to help protect the individual. Their governments recommend undertaking a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and provide step-by-step compliance guidelines relating to the relevant laws. A PIA allows you to evaluate the impact of Privacy and related current legislation on your organizations ICT. Although organizations can do this in-house, interpretation requires a high degree of expertise. Health, in particular is a complex area, for example in Australia it not only differs across State/Federal and Public/Private laws but involves related issue of direct concern to individuals such as consent and secondary use. A BLICT analysis goes further than a PIA compliance assessment to evaluate the appropriate safety standards and best working practices. An independent evaluation will highlight unacceptable current practice, provide recommendations and reassure your clients, customers, resellers and external contractors.

Fee: This depends on the complexity of the specific application.  As an indication, Preliminary Analysis has in the past typically taken from 40-60 hours. A Detailed Analysis including management recommendations, implementation and forward planning taking a further 30-50 hours.  For a Health Privacy Impact Analysis BLICT standard consultancy rates of $160 per hour would apply (plus expenses and GST).

2) Keynote Presentations

With over 50 invited presentations at international, national and local events and with over 100 refereed publications from which to draw his knowledge you will find his talks insightful, pragmatic and highly current. Fee: Typically $1200 for 1-2 hour presentation and attendance at a one day event. Negotiable from $650 for shorter local events (price excludes expenses and GST).

3) Training and Workshops

Focusing primarily on Health IT Privacy and Security these workshop or training sessions are tailored to meet the needs of your orgaisation. Dr Croll and his team have a wealth of experience in setting advanced IT workshops for both local and international audiences. Materials to support these events contain real life scenarios and comprehensive notes suited to both the technical and non-technical participant. The use of advanced IT products allows for a high degree of flexibility on setting the location and delivery methods. Below are the face-to-face rates but to minimise your travel and costs, please call and ask about alternative options for remote presentation and delivery via the web, including teleconferencing.

Fee: Typically $2750 for one presenter and materials for a full day event. Negotiable from $950 for shorter local events and repeats (price excludes expenses and GST).

4) By-the-hour Consultancy

To assist you in answering the difficult questions or getting an independent perspective then by-the-hour consultancy can be arranged in place of a fixed contract.  By-the-hour consultancy can be continued on an ongoing basis and lower rates are negotiable after 40 hours, subject to staff availability. Note that clients will only be charged after entering an agreement and not for making inquiries.      

Fee: First hour $220, subsequent (consecutive) hours $180 (price excludes expenses and GST).
