Privacy and Trust — essential ingredients for Health advancement

Health Privacy

This page provides the outcomes of a project to help unravel some of the complexities of Australian Health Privacy.

The focus is on providing the correct link to current legislation, guidelines and provide other useful information.

It has been structured to assist in navigating through the different requirements individuals or health practitioners may have.

Currently it is work in progress and hence not all links lead to a specific answer but may refer back to the most applicable legislation or guidelines.

Many people working in this area have asked to see this and hence it has now been provided to get feedback (please refer to disclaimer1 below).

The aim is to develop this further through community participation (i.e. Wikipedia style but with vetting).

I hope you find this interesting and useful. I look forward to your comments.

Text Box: How to use it?
This map was constructed using MindJet Manager (since their software provides a fast method for developing a hierarchical linked map with labels and added comments).
The best method is to first download a free MindJet Manger Viewer which is available here..
Then the actual Health Privacy Map1 in MindJet format can be downloaded from here..
Alternatively, to get an idea on what the map looks like you can navigate through the web version but this is more limited in functions including the linked notes and very much slower Click here to see..
NOW a PDF Version is available Click here..
